Needed immediately for traveling preschool-oriented Food to Grow On program. Engage children in fun, nutrition related educational activities. Assist programs in planning nutritious meals, developing and sustaining gardens, and in accessing federal meal reimbursement funds. Requires knowledge of child nutrition and gardening, experience working with young children and skill in mentoring adults. Must be willing and able to honor children's needs and curiosities, get messy, and communicate directly and respectfully. Attention to detail is critical.
This is a 32-hour per week position funded through September of 2009 with a possibility of continuation. Compensation includes a competitive hourly rate and mileage reimbursement.
