South Hero Land Trust is seeking a half-time Programs Coordinator/Associate Director who is committed to the conservation of natural and agricultural resources. The candidate will report to the Executive Director and will be directly involved with all of SHLT programs: membership, fundraising, volunteers, conservation projects, community outreach, events, advocacy, and coordination of SHLT's Farm Viability Program. Job includes daily office administration duties and candidate should be willing to assist in a variety of required tasks.
This is a two-part position. The first involves working with people in a small, local community. Candidates must have great people and communication skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders. Strength in leadership, good judgment, self motivation, and some knowledge of land conservation will be considered favorably. The second part involves office management and efficiency enhancement. Candidate should be well organized and have excellent computer skills, preferably fluent in MS Office Suit, especially Access, good writing and telephone skills. Bachelor's degree suggested, though all candidates will be considered.
