Major Gifts Officer

Organize, implement and oversee the College's efforts to raise funds through a formalized parent program; cultivate and steward gifts from major donors with a focus on donors to Woodbury Institute. The successful candidate will conduct personal visits and correspond as appropriate with major prospects and major gift donors. Develop plans and strategies for soliciting major gifts from constituents. Identify and coordinate key events which include parents or Woodbury Institute prospects both on and off campus. Travel and some work in evenings and on weekends will be required.
A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and demonstrated success in one-on-one solicitations of gifts, annual giving, event planning and management, donor stewardship is required. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to problem solve and exercise good judgment. An advanced degree, 3+ years of experience, and Higher Education fundraising is preferred.
