The Board of Directors of Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice seeks to fill the position of Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization into the future. Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice, a $10+ million annual revenue not-for-profit organization, is one of the largest Visiting Nurse Associations in Vermont. We are committed to providing comprehensive, high-quality home health and hospice care to all central Vermonters regardless of their ability to pay. In addition, the agency promotes the general welfare of the citizens of Central Vermont with health promotion and long-term care services. We have done this successfully for more than 100 years and currently have a workforce of 240 employees. Last year we provided approximately 84,000 visits to residents of the central Vermont area. With a growing and aging population, together with our reputation for providing outstanding home health & hospice services, central Vermont Home Health & Hospice is poised to continue its mission for many years to come.
The person to fill this position must be a dynamic, visionary and entrepreneurial executive who will bring a track record of success at a senior executive level in operations management, have demonstrated competencies in strategic leadership and policy development, corporate governance, financial oversight, risk management and employee relations, as well as a record of management success in a community-based home care and/or hospice organization, or related health care setting. She/he will have a solid understanding of health care delivery, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, financing methodologies, new revenue generation and cost-containment strategies, as well as the demands and opportunities for greater integration and quality care delivery in an era of Accountable Care Organizations. A bachelor's degree in health care administration, public health, business, finance, or a clinical or closely related discipline is required. A master's degree is preferred.
