Come & create with Wingspan Studio this fall in our teen/adult art classes. Grow your creativity, confidence, painting knowledge in inspiring painting classes.
Two options: 1) Studio Class for brand new artists/those wanting a jump start- with tons of hands-on time, personal input, demonstrations AND another 2) Special Outdoor Workshop for those w/ some previous experience.
1) Beg/Adv Beg Mixed Media Exploration & Painting is a superb course for absolute newbies and those with a bit of experience. You'll learn all you need to know to get started and create two canvas paintings, sketch book mixed media works and partake in creativity exercises/seeing activities. You learn essential color mixing techniques, importance of a strong and limited palette, composition strategies, step by step tips while exploring diverse painting styles & finding your own! Most supplies provided with exploration into acrylics, oil pastels, watercolors and mixed media. Brushes explained/discussed as well as paint quality/types/papers/canvas. Bring a sketchbook and easels, paints, brushes, canvas provided!
2) 2-Day Outdoor Plein Air Workshop. Create in the great outdoors at Oakledge Park on Oct 5/6 with experienced artist, color expert Maggie Standley. Sketching, underpainting secrets, form, color (palette tips), light brought together to create delightful paintings! Some previous experience needed. Bring your own materials with some provided to experiment with. List sent upon registration.
